The final day on the summer homestay program. The students took a school bus into the center of Boston. Starting at Boston Common we took a guided tour on the Freedom Trail. The guide taught us about the history of Boston. The struggle for independence and the important people from that era. The students had lunch in Quincy Market, some ate local Boston favorites, clam chowder, lobster roll etc. We spent the afternoon at school studying English in the classroom and preparing for the farewell party. The students and their American friends sang some songs, thanked their homestay families and ate pizza together. Tomorrow (Saturday) is their final time with their family. We will depart on Sunday morning and arrive in Nagoya on Monday evening.
